‘Turn Blue’ and ‘Ghost Stories’ Album Previews

Without a doubt, I think the most exciting month of music is upon us now. With so many great albums releases coming out this month, it’s hard to choose what to listen to. The two albums that I am most looking forward to in the next couple of weeks is The Black Keys eighth studio effort Turn Blue and Coldplay’s sixth Ghost Stories.

There have been a few singles released from each album and they are both sounding absolutely spectacular. ‘Fever’ from TBK is adding on the instrumentation that we have grown to love since 2010’s Brothers. There is such psychedelic guitar lines and luscious beats from Patrick Carney behind the kit. Dan Auerbach features in the video as a preacher, whats not to love? Check it below.

Teaming up with Avicii, Coldplay’s new single ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ is taking a little bit longer for me to get my chops around. ‘Magic’ is an electro track that I instantly fell in love with. The jangly guitar line of Johnny Buckland, to the solid electronica beats of Will Champion behind the kit, make it a modern day Coldplay favourite.

With just nine tracks on Ghost Stories only weeks will tell if it’s destined to be awesome. Like any band, they have to constantly reinvent themselves to stay fresh and innovative. Check back here in a week or so, for a full review of both records. For your aural pleasure, however check out the latest singles now and GET EXCITED :D.

Such a cool video for ‘Magic’ 🙂 Get it around your ears.
