Echo Drama bring the Fire To Your Wednesday with ‘Insanity’

I don’t know whether you could find a better location for the video clip for ‘Insanity’ the new single from 9 piece outfit Echo Drama. The industrial look of the clip combined with the short fast paced cuts of different angles from the video camera make you feel like your prime place in Psycho … and that’s only just the beginning.

The driving pace of the horn section, combines with the hard hitting lyricism of Alex ‘Sinks’ Sinclair to draw both your eyes and ears in to create a visual experience that is honestly quite hypnotising. Dark, moody and eye catching, the videographer of Carl Allison has really captured the mood of the track which speaks about how society tends to turn a blind eye to bad things that happen in the world because they might not necessarily be happening to you. Vocalist for the group Thando Sikwila had this to say about the theme of ‘Insanity’.

“My hook (in the song) is about looking inwards and confronting what being a human being really means, when people no different like us halfway around the world are left destitute all for the sake of profit.  It’s not sustainable.” Sikwila says.

If your looking to bring some fire to your Wednesday night (you might need it after the cold spell we’ve been having), be sure to check out ‘Insanity’ below.

Echo Drama are hitting up the Workers Club in Melbourne to celebrate and you can get you tikkos here, let’s be honest, you’d be a silly sausage to miss it.
